For my dad's birthday we (my mom, sister, dad and Michael) went to the Fork and Screen at AMC. If you aren't familiar, it's where you eat dinner at the movie.....they have servers and a full menu. It was a ton of fun EXCEPT for the movie we went to see. "The Three Stooges." UGH.
Thank goodness for the company!!
Our own version of "The three Stooges."
After the movie we headed to Fred P. Ott's where Meredith is working for a little karaoke.
In our family, my sister Meredith is the funny one. Hands down. No question about it. So, in honor of my oh-so-funny sister.....I'm posting a small sampling of some of the funny things my sister does. I'm just hoping these things translate over the blogosphere.....because they are darned funny in person!!!
The "dance up on ya" move.
And she definitely wastes no opportunity to make fun of her big sister. Apparently (and I disagree here!), I have a funny sounding "boo."
Well.....it's been a while since I've made it to my computer to blog. My life has been a little crazy as of late. Hopefully I'll be able to explain more about that in the near future! For now, though, I thought I'd share about my weekend!
It started on Tuesday evening (not exactly the weekend, but oh well!) when Michael and I met at Panera for dinner. We were in the middle of having dinner -- in fact, I was literally in the middle of a sentence -- when I saw my wonderful friend Shawna, her mom, and (most importantly....but don't tell her I said that!) her new baby boy!!!!! Michael and I hadn't seen Shawna and Ramsey (her baby boy) for several weeks. How he has grown!!!
Ramsey -- just a few days old
Such a big boy! Ramsey, that is. :-)
I had this waiting for me when I got home on Friday.
Beth Moore was in Kansas City this weekend with Living Proof Live. How I love her!! She is such a fabulous speaker, and always speaks a Word that I need to hear. And, the worship. OH, THE WORSHIP!!! I can't help but believe I had a glimpse of what it will be like in heaven some day listening to the angels sing!
9,800 women singing His praises
I love my Mama!!
We spent Friday evening and Saturday morning with Beth and 9,800 sisters in Christ. What an inspiration! Saturday afternoon turned out to be beautiful so my mom and I walked down to the Power and Light District for a little Chipotle.
Saturday night Michael and I were off to celebrate his friend Travis' birthday at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Sunday was a wonderfully relaxing day with my man and my family. I love weekends like that!
On a completely random side note....do Michael's feet look weird to anyone but me?! Do you see that giant gap between his big toe and pointer toe? My feet don't look like that.
(I told him his feet were so weird looking that I was going to blog about it.)
